Perched dramatically above the pastel cliffs of Positano, a stay at Villa Tre Ville feels like stepping into a sun-drenched film set, equal parts glamorous and wonderfully family-chaotic. Once the private residence of opera legend Franco Zeffirelli, the villa still hums with old-world celebrity allure, bougainvillea spilling over terraces, secret staircases to the sea, and views so cinematic they barely feel real.
I visited off-season (strategically, I might add) so I didn’t have to remortgage the house to afford it – which meant the kids could roam the hidden gardens, order poolside gelatos, and pad barefoot to breakfast while we soaked up that ultimate luxury feeling… just with a slightly more sensible price tag.
