City breaks with kids always walk the line between magic and meltdowns – tired legs, snack stops, weather pivots but Barcelona made it feel easy. Between storybook buildings, leafy parks, street performers, and a hotel we never wanted to leave, the city gave us the perfect balance of exploring and exhaling. Here’s a little look at our 72 hours in Barcelona as a family.

Must Do’s in Barcelona with Kids

Sagrada Família
Book tickets early ( I didn’t and could only get 2 tickets on the day) The light and scale are utterly breathtaking – even kids feel the magic.

Casa Batlló
So good for kids. Curved walls, colour, dragon rooftops, feels more like a storybook than a museum.

Catch a Football Game
If dates line up, do it. Football here is culture, the atmosphere alone is unforgettable and EVERYONE wears Barca tops on match day!

Park Afternoon – Parc de la Ciutadella
Row boats on the lake, playground stops, space to run. The perfect sightseeing reset, great safe space for kids to run free, we went early November and weather was lovely to wander.

See the City from Above
Rooftop views, sunset drinks, or a hotel pool overlooking the skyline, seeing the skyline from above is a MUST – slow moments between the busy.
